Customers

Puka Enterprises has been fortunate to have worked with the following companies and projects:

  • LGS Innovations, LLC
    (Formerly Lucent Technologies, Inc - Government Solutions Division)

    April 2009 to Present  -  Puka Enterprises is contracted to provide Project Management services in Hawaii, working with LGS to assist in successful project implementations with LGS's customer base in Hawaii.

    April 2008 to Present  -  Puka Enterprises is contracted to provide a Resident System Support Specialist (RS3) to work with the Army's Network Management Group in support of the I3MP Network that was installed.  The RS3's responsibility is to support the Army's NMG team in the implementation of advanced network protocols and technologies (ie, MPLS, SONET and DWDM).  Puka Enterprises supplied an RS3 at Schofield Barracks to support Schofield, Wheeler Army Airfield and Helemano Military Reservation.  In October 2008, Puka Enterprises was contracted to provide another RS3 at Ft. Shafter.

    July 2005 to March 2008  -   Lucent/LGS was the prime contractor, awarded the contract by the United States Army to install and implement the I3MP Network on Schofield Barracks, Wheeler Army Airfield, Helemano Military Reservation and Ft. Shafter in Hawaii.  Lucent/LGS subcontracted Puka Enterprises to provide Quality Assurance services.  We served as Lucent/LGS' lead QA for the duration on the construction and implementation, monitoring and guiding the work of other subcontractors who were doing the construction and installation.  As the QA, we were responsible to ensure that the work performed by subcontractors met or exceeded the standards, as required under the contract.  We worked directly with the Army QA team, to address any questions or concerns they had, related to the installation.  In addition, we witnessed and reviewed all test results and prepared CAD as-built drawings.

  • General Dymanics Information Technology
    March 2009 to Present - Puka Enterprises is contracted to provide a Resident System Support Specialist (RS3) to work with the Army's Network Management Group in support of the I3MP Network that was installed at the Pohakuloa Training Area on the Island of Hawaii.  The RS3's responsibility is to support the Army's NMG team in the implementation of advances network protocols and wireless technologies (WiMAX).

  • Channel Electric, Inc.
    July 2009 to Present - Contracted to provide the telecommunications design and quality inspections services for the new Pearl Harbor Fitness Center.

    September 2008 to June 2009 - Contracted to provide the telecommunications shop drawings and quality inspection services for the renovation of Bldg. 692 at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.  We reviewed the prime contractor's approved telecommunications design and provided additional detail, based on the Army's requirements.

    July 2008 to March 2009 - Contracted to provide the telecommunication design and quality inspection services for the renovation of Bldg. 132 at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.  We worked with Channel Electric's prime contractor to develop a telecommunications design for voice, data and cable television.  We also did the OSP design for a new fiber optic cable to the building.

    December 2007 to June 2008 - Puka Enterprises was contracted to provide telecommunications design and quality inspection services for the renovation of Bldg. 405 at Ft. Shafter, Hawaii.  We worked with Channel Electric and their prime contractor to develop a telecommunications design for voice and data services, based on the projects design criteria and the Army's requirements.

  • HAWAII MODULAR SPACE, A DIVISION OF WILLIAMS SCOTSMAN, INC.
    December 2008 to January 2009 - Puka Enterprises was part of the design team for modular structures to be provided to the Kaneohe Marine Corp Base Hawaii as a part of their Grow the Force initiative.  We were responsible to provide telecommunication shop drawings based on the project design criteria and NMCI requirements.

  • American Electric Telecom Services
    October 2008 to Present - Puka Enterprises was contracted to review the telecommunications design and provide quality inspection services for the HRSOC at NCTAMS, Wahiawa.  Reviewed American Electric's telecommunications design for conformance with current codes and standards.

  • MITSUNAGA & ASSOCIATES, INC.
    May 2008 to July 2008 - Puka Enterprises was part of the design team for the renovation of Bldg. 441 at Ft. Shafter, Hawaii.  Working with the Architect and other engineers, we were responsible for the telecommunications design and quality inspections.
